A Call of Four-Articles from GYİAD to Presidential Candidates

Young Executives and Business People Association (GYİAD) Chairman Yiğit Savcı made a call for the presidential candidates, and said that should be focused on the economy immediately after the elections. Stating that they have set four agenda articles accordingly, Mr. Savcı proposed to abolish the state of emergency, strengthen the relations with the EU, bring VAT exemption to new technology-focused initiatives (start-ups) and to perform works on reducing youth unemployment.

GYİAD will say ‘stop’ to gender inequality in the business world through the Equality Act

Young Executives and Business People Association (GYİAD) launched its Equality Act headed by the Women Working Group. During the event held on October 3, the details of Equality Act aiming to enable the women to be more active in the business life and to contribute Turkey for walking to the future with equal steps were shared at the event and Equality Time movie was introduced.

Working women complain on not establishing business and family life balance

According to the survey held by the Young Executives and Business People Association (GYİAD) through the participation of its women members, the top common concern of the working women is the incapability to establish the balance between the business life and family life. According to the survey, whilst the greatest expectation of the entrepreneur women is the financing opportunities, the executive women wants regulations on the flexible working hours.

“EU must not ignore the effort of Turkey in visa liberalization”

Young Executives and Business People Association (GYİAD) Chairman Yiğit Savcı pointed out the importance of the fulfillment of 72 criteria required to be completed for the realization of the Visa Liberalization Convention of Turkey. Stating that the relevant authorities in Turkey, particularly the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, are spending intensive effort for the convention, Mr. Savcı said, “After this phase, the attitude of the EU authorities will be determinant. We believe that they will not ignore the constructive approach of Turkey.”

Virtual money and blockchain technology will reshape the business world

One of each five monetary currencies in the world will be digital. Saying that the virtual money applications and blockchain technology will change the rules in many sectors, GYİAD Vice Chairman and Digital Working Group Chairman Fuat Pamukçu pointed out that this will bring new opportunities. Mr. Pamukçu expressed that the legal infrastructure must be regulated as to support the technological developments.

Incentives must be functional to increase women employment

Young Executives and Business People Association (GYİAD) shared their recommendations on the improvement of women employment prepared by the Women Working Group with the representatives of the Ministry of Family and Social Policies, Ministry of Labor and Social Security, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Health. Among the recommendations, there are topics such as the flexible working models, kindergarten check, and the presentation of functional incentives to the employers who employ women.

GYİAD organized Success is At Digital Transformation Conference, “Traditional ways of doing business must be changed”

Young Executives and Business People Association (GYİAD) organized Success is At Digital Transformation Conference for the family companies and SMEs. During the event held on October 26, the reasons of digital transformation, how the digital transformation should be in family businesses and SMEs were discussed. Importance of digitalization for Turkey was addressed at the conference where examples on digital transformation from the sector were provided.
