According to the survey carried out by the Young Executives and Business People Association (GYİAD), the greatest concern of the working women is the incapability of establishing balance between the business and family life. To the question, “What kind of supports do women need in the business life; what kind of regulations may pave the way for the promotion of the women in the business life?”, 80 percent of the entrepreneur women said that their prioritized expectation is related to financing. And the executive women express that they particularly need a regulation for flexible working hours.
According to the survey of GYİAD, whilst 90 percent of the entrepreneur women are planning to expand their enterprises, the level of the ones stating that they are planning sales is only 10 percent. Whilst 85 percent of the women working as professional executives said that they want to continue their career as professional, 15 percent said that they are planning to be entrepreneur.
Evaluating the subject, GYİAD Vice Chairman and Women Working Group Chairman İlkay Demirdağ said, “As a non-governmental organization defending that the women should be more active and effective in the business life and performing regular activities on this matter, we find the results of our survey very attractive. We will carry out studies on the topics such as ensuring business/family life balance, supporting women entrepreneurship, gaining flexible structure to the working hours, etc., and we will share the result and our recommendations with the relevant entities. We have held a study for increasing the women employment in the previous years, and we have communicated our recommendations, including the topics such as the flexible working models, kindergarten check and functional incentives for the employers recruiting women, to four separate ministries. The acceptance of the kindergarten incentive included in the recommendation package by TBMM Plan and Budget Commission is very motivating for our future projects.”
