Within the scope of GYİAD Academy, Entrepreneurship Lectures were provided to more than 1.000 students in cooperation with the Yeditepe University, METU, Koç University, Marmara University, Istanbul Bilgi University, Yıldız Technical University and Galatasaray University. Launched within the scope of the GYİAD Academy and continued for one semester, the starting point of the Entrepreneurship lectures is based on the combination of “Theory and Practice”.
The participants of the lectures take lessons about the situations or problems, which an entrepreneur needs to think and plan when starting a business, from real life practitioners who have achieved significant achievements in business life.
Accordingly, students listen to the inspiring story of a successful entrepreneur during the first week of the program, and have the opportunity to get information on several topics from finding a business idea, feasibility preparation, company types and establishment processes to start-ups to effectively learn how to make low-budget marketing in the following weeks. During these lectures, students are divided into mini teams in the third week of lecture and design their own business ideas as an example of entrepreneurship.
They receive mentoring support from GYİAD’s expert members about the topic they have chosen for the project team they created while the lectures continue during the semester. At the end of the school year, the students present their business ideas, which they designed in the light of information they learned from the lectures and they received from their mentors, to a jury consisting of GYİAD members, and a winner is selected among them. The winner passes the lecture with the highest grade, as well as can get an investment from the GYİAD members according to the nature of the project idea.
